我真係束手無決呀...
有無人可以幫下我呀???
又或者比0的提事我應該點去寫呀???

嘩! 有時真係覺得讀書時既功課仲難過工作上既 project!  ><  咩係 Radix-Sort 我都未搞得清楚..........

C/C++ 我就太耐無惦﹐所以我最多可以幫手 Option 2 (用 java)﹐但佢好似 想您地用 C/C++ 多 d 喎。  點解無啦啦教教下 Perl 會要您地寫 C/C++既?  無底點寫呢?

if u never used C++ before, i would recommend u to do option 2 since option1 requires the use of pointers, all programming languages are in the same concept, if u know how to do it in perl, then u just do the same thing in java or C++ or C with their corresponding syntax, difference won't be much

Thanks, 1022292057 (what a long numeric username! )!  I think he should be able to handle the syntax, like you said, all programming lanugages are similar, just a matter of using different syntax.

When learning a new programming language, the very first challenge is to know where to start.  Do you think you can show him a Hello World example in C and/or C++ as a starting point?  And Perl does not need to be compiled, but C/C++/Java does.  I wonder if hayehyl even know how to compile and run his program.

we learned introduction to java like 3 years ago and we used eclipse to write and compile so i should be able to compile it... except that we've always learned perl cuz we r in bioinformatics major but this professor is a computer science professor (well he's a different professor i m having throughout all these 4 years =.=) so i guess he prefers any languages beside perl =.= and we forgot almost everything about java :x lol~

Since I am also new to Radix Sort, I am in no position of telling u which sites are good.    But you can go to our all-time favorite - wikipedia (haha.. maybe it is just my favorite) - and look up their page on Radix Sort: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radix_sort  They even have code examples.  If you wanna use Java, then the C# example is probably your closest bet.
