hi all long time no see la, bought the ipod touch 2g the other day realizing my archos was simplelytoo heavy to carry it around with me at all time as my pimary media play so i got the ipod touch 2g.
Initial thoughts :- i can finally understand the hype around it, it is totally awesome. It is so much fun its unreal, all the apps and games. But battery life a bit disappointing tho, music quality althoghnot great but its still better then my archos 605. Videos wise color is sharp screen looks nice but still won't use it to watch movies cos my archos is better at doing that. After all i didn't buy ipod touch to replace archos but only to use it as a mp3 player.
Final thoughts, awesome looks sleek, great to use, fast while surfing and apps store is unreal.. buy it guys and girls buy it

new firmware out for ipod touch, now on version 2.2

fixed issues with safari, most stable OS and can now download podcast

wow cool!!!  I didn't know itouch has microphone support!  I thought it only output audio!!!  $29 Apple's ear buds?  I think it is worth the money if one always want to talk to others or "call" friends oversea!  Yeah, the drawback is that I need a place with wifi connection.  But bringing an itouch is easier than bringing a notebook or even a netbook.

haha yeh just use the free app calld fring which has skype msn etc, its pretty reliable most of the time. But i dont see myself using this function as my nokia e71 has skype build in which i make voip calls using 3g which is free for me plus my g1. these days i m connected always ipod touch just wont do as a voip phone for me
