This is done by either a Jumper: Set it for a few seconds, Shortening two special solderplaces on the Mainboard, or remove the CR2032 Litium cel AND the main battery for more than 15 Minutes.
The device has to be cut off from whatever it is providing power COMPLETELY or damage may result!
After that, replace all batteries and enter te Setup to reinstall the time, date, system preferences and (If you wish) a new Password.

Or you can try the following program

1. Boot with boot disk
2. downlaod file KILLCOMS at (http://www.softpedia.com/progDow ... Download-1429.html)
run it in dos mode only
it will remove all cmos setup yes all setup and password.
3. Check at CPUsoft menu run auto detect hardware if your bios show this menu if not see you main board menual.

It's relatively hard to remove the CMOS password ... for sure that you can't use any software to remove it.  The only thing you can try is ... you have to search whether it has the BIOS reset jumper on the motherboard; or you can remove the CMOS battery (if you can, since the CMOS battery of some NB is soldered on the board that you can't replace)  and the notebook's battery, just only use the AC power and turn it on to see if the CMOS is reset.
*Since different notebooks have their own setting, the above suggestions may not fit in all notebooks.
