I was comparing unlocked phone and locked phone. And I was just trying to understand why u were willing to pay $800 for an unlock phone rather than $200 for a locked phone with contract.  So by paying $600 extra, the phone is unlocked, u don't bind with a contract, and u get some free items if u get the phone from HK, what else?

coz unlock phone is good for travelling....just put different country sim card then no need to pay for the roaming fee.....the roaming fee charged in Canada is insane.....another thing is I can get the contract again till the good plan comes up....doesn't need to sux with the plan that may pay higher....

i see.  So the plans with the discounted phone are more expensive in Canada?   i can understand that it is convenient, but do u really need to use your phone when travel if the cost is $400-$600 more? my phone was unlocked for free but I didn't really need to use it when I travelled.

how much cheaper each month with the "good plan"?

at least I need to use it when I'm in HK and in China....

$50 now at least 1GB data.....the plan I signed only have 500mb data

i brought an old unlocked phone. I am cheaper than u hahaha.

so if u upgraded the singed plan to 1GB how much more?

now the plan is $50 with 1GB data....and of coz incl the voice plan with the $50
