Went to this Hi Genki restaurant twice on the weekend. It's located inside a Japanese care home next to the Nikkei building in Burnaby The ambiance is like a cafeteria, but then the food was actually very good and authentic. I did take out for the first time and I ordered from their "daily special" menu. I had a fried ebi (prawns) and kaki (oyster) rice, everything was done perfectly. I was surprised the deep fried seafood was actually not greasy at all. It also came with a salad and miso soup, and the price is $7.99. Sorry I forgot to take pictures but the presentation was quite attractive. The second time I went I ordered a katsu don. The price is $6.99 and the portion was quite generous. I couldnt finish it so I had to take home the leftover.
In all, I like this restaurant because:

1. The food is fresh and well-cooked
2. Free underground parking
3. The food is reasonably priced
4. Great service
5. Clean, and authentic
