I've recently download a game and the files are *.mdf and *.mds. I managed to extract the files out, then I burn them onto a CD as Data files using Nero Express.

Everything was ok, installing is ok, but when I try to start playing the game, it appears an error message "Wrong disc insert."

Does anyone know why is it happening? Do I have to burn the files in a certain way?

did you try using Alcohol 120% or PowerISO?

i think u need to use the daemon tool? I dunno im not realli sure
try alcohol 120, it can open almost every file

Maybe the disk you got has copy right protection.. such as securom, safedisk etc...
you have to check which copyright and what version it use, then use alcohol 120% to burn it with the correct protection technology
alternatively, you can try to mount it in alcohol
