I bought a media player -ICZ Media Player 200 a few month ago in New Zealand. It consists all the mentioned function and it costs around HK$1600. The player also includes a 320GB 2.5 inches HDD which is quite sufficient to store RMVB movies etc.  In term of quality, it is not comparable with blu-ray format but overall it is better than the traditional TV interlaced signal.  I noted that MKV is good, one can also convert files to RMVB in high definition.  Again files in both of these HD formats are far too big.  It takes too long to download and it occupies too much disk space.  This is the main reason people still prefer to use RMVB.  I also note that there is another model by ICZ- Media Player 100, you can plug in your HDD (it only works with 2.5 inches portable HDD, USB flash drive and SD cards.)  It costs around HK$900.  Everything works the same way except you can't fit a HDD.

kingjulian, can it display traditional chinese filename and subtitles?

I am afraid not.  You must convert filenames to English.  If the media files consist of subtitles, it will show them when you play the files.  I also bought two DVD players recently which can play DVDs as well as RMVB files recorded on disks or USB flash drives.  They are strongly recommended.  They cost around HK$350.  One of them can also display Chinese characters on the title menu.

The two DVD players I memtioned earlier are SUPER model DVD-3168 and PENSONIC MODEL PDVD-8600RM.  SUPER can display Chinese characters on its menu and is cheaper.

That's cool!  Can they display ISO DVD (data DVD) with rmvb files on thedisc?  Or it has to be stored in the flash drive?

We are currently evaluating another media player.  One of our members has already received his and he is happy about it.  My friends have also ordered them.  Once they received, I will write another review for it.  

That is the beauty of these two players.  They can play RMVB files which are recorded as data files  on DVD+ or -R.  Of course, you can also use USB flash drives or SD cards.  Up to now I have not have a chance to see if they can read SDHC cards.  I cannot draw any conclusion on these media.

ICZ 200 media player can display some traditional Chinese characters.  If a character with a lot of strokes, it simply displays a blank.  I always give English titles with Chinese along-side, I can easily tell which TV series it is.

It is not HD but it is cheap enough for a non-HD player.  It displays traditional Chinese filenames and subtitles without problem.  I think it uses the same firmware as NBOX but different version, because the interface (menu and navigation) look almost the same.

If I have time I will start another thread to talk about it.  But since it is so similar to NBOX (even the picture quality), there are not much to talk about.    One thing worth mention is the size of it.It is 3" x 3" which is very compact (and light).  And the power adaptor is already good for America/Japan.  For us who live in North America, we don't need to buy a converter thingy, although it's only HKD10 each.

The one you are evaluating is similiar to ICZ 100 which does not have a 2.5" HDD storage compartment.  Every time you use it you have to plug in a media storage device like USB flash drive, SD card, etc.
