i want to convert dvd to mp4 & watch on ipod,which software can work (i tried winavi to mp4 or any video converter but both didn't working),who can help? thanks

you can use handbreak which you can download here at http://handbrake.fr/ this software works perfectly. there are special settings which you can rip dvds directly in to a iphone/touch profiles. Great software

i have download this software & try to use it but it didn't work after converted,(can't  play),do you mind to tell me how to use it,thanks

window xp sp2,now can play but no audio,video's quality is very good,please help,thanks

Hmmmm, i have actually never used this software on XP cos i m a mac user and i use this program on my mac. You are saying that you can encode dvd to mp4 at the moment but you cant get sound. Can you give me some settings that you are encoding to right now?
And before you start encoding can you tell me what audio settings you have? the audio settings tab should be right next to the audio tab.

i have solved the problem by click the 'set default' tab,anyway thanks for your help
