yeah, i am trying to figure out the logic behind it.  she mentioned something like "早啲 as in 早啲到 and therefore = 快啲" but even herself can't explain it clearly.  so I am trying to put together people's explanation and come up with a logical answer.

"早啲 as in 早啲到 and therefore = 快啲"  <<< if it's related to time....then will she be there early then it scheduled??? if yes....then means backward, is it?

like i said before: "前" can mean "之前" or "前方", so when we say "洗前啲" actually it can mean either and we need more specific instruction to know what the person really mean.  so that's okay.  but "較早兩個鐘" to me it is very clear that I am turning back the clock, but now I realized some people would think turning forward.. so does that mean the word "早" can mean differently depending on the situation or topic??

I said that too.....that means we are normal.....

It doesn't have any special meaning for me to say that to my mom.  I just feel this will be make her easy to understand what she needs to do.
