i can't speak for others, but as for me, there are foods which i didn't like when i was a child, but learned to appreciate the taste of them later on in life, for example, like 髮菜, 芥菜 and 苦瓜...then Korean Kimchi and cold noodles, both turned out to be an acquired taste after a few tries.

i don't really know... some gay folks use the term to explain their homosexual behaviors, to argue upon being gay is not a choice...

i guess we are living in the day and age when everyone is entitled to proclaim their believe and view points, repeating often enough, it becomes the gospel to others...probably best to be skeptical with all things, man.
