TECHNICAL SPECIALIST - ERP #W9650

Temporary Full-Time (Approx. 1 year)
Salary $42.69 - $46.41 per hour
Reporting to the Projects Manager – ITS, is responsible for creating queries and reports for users of the Region’s DWBI and/or ERP Systems and for developing interfaces between applications external to the ERP system.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum three (3) years experience in an IT environment with experience in Oracle/Windows and PeopleSoft Version 8.x , SQL and report writer tools (e.g. SQR and Crystal Reports, PeopleTools Component Design, Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interface and Process Scheduler).
Demonstrated experience in developing complex queries and reports.
Knowledge of relational database concepts and structures.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security design and 4th generation structured programming languages.
Knowledge of financial, payroll and human resources business processes.
Knowledge of Business Intelligence Application Suites (e.g. Business Object, Cognos, etc). (for DWBI)
Knowledge of PeopleSoft EPM Application Suites including Ascential Data Stage Tools. (for DWBI)
Technical knowledge of Oracle/NT 4.0 and ERP (PeopleSoft) environment.
Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self management, accountability, flexibility and adaptability.
Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications.
Ability to design, develop and debug applications.
Project implementation and problem solving skills specific to front line project and system support.
Ability to work with the users on the design, configuration and implementation of business reporting processes.
Ability to work concurrently on several tasks and projects in an organized fashion to ensure tight timelines are consistently met.
Ability to travel to off site locations in a timely and efficient manner, as required.
Ability to work outside regular business hours, as required.
