But I cannot go to window,how can I update the BIOS???

When I try to get the BIOS update for you, I found out Dynabook only available on toshiba - japan.

Please confirm this is latest version, otherwise, please download the latest version by yourself.

Usually, just download the exe file, double click it and follow the on screen instruction will be fine. If that is windows base file, then you need to extract it, save all files on the floppy disk, boot your laptop from DOS bootup disk with those files and run it under DOS mode.

I downloaded the file and extract it to save to a floppy disk,then I insert to my pc......
but not work as I switch on the pc,just can see the message which I said before( ready for EC/KBC update..........)I am not sure,maybe my floppy driver also has a little bit problem,because I am not always use that,so even cannot work very well,I didn't do anything before.
How can I do???may be one of keyboard key really stuck.so cannot go to window.
Do you have any good idea to solve this problem???I have many file over there and didn't backup......

Did you bootup the laptop from DOS bootup disk? Can you try connect an external keyboard and bootup from floppy disk?

The floppy drive is build-in or external?

My floppy driver is built-in type.
I try to connect a external keyboard and then switch on the pc,but still the same.
I switch off again and insert the floppy disk,also not work.
I don't have the DOS bootup disk as I found the computer set,just had office and recovery cd.

1. use another PC to create a bootup disk, then copy the BIOS file into that disk.
2. boot your laptop with that DOS bootup disk and run the BIOS update

Found some thing on the net, wish it can help:

Remove all attached extraneous hardware, detach printer cable(s); mice, external keyboards, etc.
Reset the BIOS to defaults:
Turn the computer off
Hold down the ESC key in the upper left hand corner of the keyboard and turn the computer back on. Press the F1 key when prompted
Press the HOME key on the right hand side of the keyboard
Press the END key on the right hand side of the keyboard
Press Y to answer Yes for saving and exiting the BIOS setup
If still unable to boot the computer due to the EC/KBC error or if problems with the left/right arrow keys on the keyboard occur later in Windows, contact Toshiba Support to have the unit repaired. There is a list of authorised repairers on the site.

How can I copy the bootup disk from the other pc??

I cannot reset the BIOS to default.....by the method as you told me.

What do you think??If I take out the hard disk  and connect to other pc,then delete the keyboard driver.
so I think I can use external keyboard to carry on use my pc as my hardware is no problem,i think.

Create DOS bootup disk:
1. On anther PC, insert a floppy disk -> my computer -> right click A: driver (the floppy drive)
2. click "format" -> file system must "fat" or "fat32"
3. under format options, must check "create an MS-DOS startup disk"
4. when complete the process, copy the BIOS file into floppy disk


Because I just search from the net, it maybe not same as you laptop model, you can refer the laptop menu and see how to get in BIOS. Once you login to BIOS setting menu, you can reset the BIOS to default.

Did you try air duster to cleanup the KB?

Yes, you can take out the laptop HDD and connect to another PC/laptop to backup all the file, but it seems not the KB driver causing this problem. Try the above suggestion before you take out the HDD.
