Sorry, but i really don't understand this, I've made a post about AVISynth a few months back, and still no one had tried it?
Using avisynth to frameserve video files to most encoders would solve all kinds of problems. I'd just tried and confirmed that Winavi does support avs scripts.
When an video file is played but no sound coming out, it could be the system that couldn't locate an audio decoder for that particular codec. Even though you may have the necessary codec installed.
You can try this:
Download the latest built of FFDShow
http://www.free-codecs.com/FFDShow_download.htm
Install it and will overwrite any existing older version. After installed, go to ' Start -> All programs -> ffdshow -> Audio decoder configuration -> (enable LPCM, and choose 'all supported' on Uncompress Formats)
To show the choices, click once on the item selected.
Then click 'Apply' and 'OK'.
