hi, I am from canada, Toronto, recently my internet provider, rogers cable sent me a letter to inform me to upgrade my cable modem, after I upgrade, my bt speed is extremely slow, only have 2-4kbs per task, does anybody know how can I back to normal, before the upgrade I can go to 100kbs, but now only 2, how can I change that! Please help! I am so depress on this issue!

So nothing has changed except for the cable modem hardware?  Did you install any new software/driver for the new modem?

I didn't install any program, just change the cable moderm, and I didn't change any setting in my bt perference. My dl speed is 4150 kbps, and the upload is 497kbps

It seems not the application setting issue. As I know some of the modem hardware limited the speed, that's why ask which modem you're using. Please tell me the brand name and model #

it is the rogers cable, the webstar by scientific atlanta, and the model, I think is DPC2100R2 series
and my direct download speed is fine, and when I browsing to the site is okay, just the bt speed make me sick

Is it a two-in-one router modem?  If so, it could be the router part that needs to be configured.

no, it is not, I have another router, it is a linksys. It is okay before!

This is the reason, only Motorola will work with BT download. Roger have 3 different model, Motorola -> the best one but long time ago, 2nd is D-Link but only available few months and no reason take it out, now is atlanta and this is the wrost model. Try tall to Roger CSR and get back the Motorola

can't get it back, they need to upgrade for all his customer, even if I can get it back, they will stop the service at the end of June, so that's why I go for upgrade it
