what kinda of brand ??

I am using the Viewsonic VX924.  It's good in every aspect.  Response time is also good at 4ms.  You'll need good response time for games or movies.  LCD monitors are cheaper and cheaper these days.  17" is the minimum size.  If you can afford it, you must opt for  larger sizes.  If I were you, I would choose a 4:3 19" monitor.  It saves the trouble to upgrade it in another year.
