I understand, Ben. But I feel like her aunt is treating her like she is a teenager woh. If I tell you, I have a friend who is 48, got a college degree, working for quite a while, totally financial independent, got a canadian citizenship, living with her friends, and living a normal life (no clubbing till mornings, taking drugs, not smoking, etc.), what would you think about this girl? Pretty typical case and you can easily see a dozen on the street, and some of them even got married and have kids already. From MT's case, I can see one thing: her aunt is not that confident that MT can take care of herself. When she saw the gold card, there are tons of assumptions she could have made. But she chose to believe that MT was gambling big, and she became so mad without finding out the truth. Her aunt was not wrong in this case. But MT should think again why her aunt thinks that way. If my mom saw a gold card under my name, she would probably question why I got the card but she won't assume that I gamble because she knows I don't. MT should start to act more maturely and show people (you know who) that she is independent and can take care of herself.
