I have a feeling it is a codec issue.  But I don't want to just tell you to install a different codec pack without knowing what the impact is.

Now, do you know anyone who had successfully converted the *same* rmvb using winavi?

b 4 i got no problem by using winavi 7.7 for the convert..


no problem... untill few weeks ago...all the convertions only have picture, but no sound... (from rm to avi or rm to vob..... all formats.

I'll suggest uninstall the codec pack .. like k-lite ... etc, then reboot couple time.

After that install CCleaner and clean up the registry and "dead" dll. Reboot couple again, then install the codec pack.

i don't know who had  successfully converted ,but i want say not all rmvb file fail to convert,e.g.epi 1 fail,epi 2&3 success,so all i can say it's only little file no sound after converted,that's what i want to why



To zebra: i suggest you upgrade to winavi 8.0,it's more stable & better (for the picture),if you still use winavi to convert

i did try 8.0 end up the vob files  too big  close to 8.3 G

cannot put 5 eps in one dvd

for 7.7 i can burn 5 eps (only 3.95G) in one dvd...

To Zebra : you can click into advance to control file size to fit your dvd

to ultraegg:  Do the CCleaner is something like McAfee QuickClean,once i use it & it delete some file or icon or software that i don't want to delete

yes, it's similar but CClean will clean up all the un-used / missing DLL & regisrty itmes!

You know what, some time is windows registry causing the problem. If you don't want to delete some file or icon, you can configure the cclean setting
