That's total bull!!! Let's say if you hv question regarding prior year taxes or you receive a notice from revenue dept. need u to respond, they don't even get records of any kind to assist you? I have at least 5 to 10 clients asking me for tax copies in a monthly basis. petition for sponsoring relatives, loan application, kids' college grant, govt. subsidies, property tax reassessment, tax audit, naturalization, license application, everything needs tax returns!!! 3 year is a minimum requirement, but i keep the docs from 1st day of engagement.
That's against law not to provide client for return copy, only they can charge handling and reproduction fee. I'm mad now and i can't believe there're some jerks working some field with me!! Are they chinese? Shame on them!!
