so it was working fine an old PC?  so it is an "old" PC, or it is just your old pc?

we will replace a new desktop due to hareware lifecycle. in my case, the old PC (3yrs old) still working fine with the external DVD writer (using Win XP with SP3 " upgrade from SP2). Now the new PC running WinXP with SP3 (not upgrade from SP2) got the error
