Haha.. well.. I thought you are supposed to first learn what multi-core processor does and why it makes a different.  Then you study why people use it on a control unit.

I think some of those links that talks about automobile actually talks about control unit or ECU (electronic control unit).  And I have a feeling that's what your professor wants you to find out.  Doing research is sometimes not straight forward.  Sometimes, there won't be any direct articles that provides all the information you need.  You will have to read some related topics, digest them, and pick information from here and there to come up with your own essay.

Haha.. I actually don't know a lot.  But I was a computer science major, so I am interested in anything about computer.  Too many to learn, too little time.  And my job is doing software development, so programming has become part of my life.  

Like I said before, I really don't know everything.  That's why I really like to share and discuss with other experts here in LIPSCorner, and hopefully I can learn from them.
